    The problem / 01

Your buyers don’t search for your name.

They ask AI who to hire, and they get a short list with a confident summary. If you’re not on it, you never hear about the lost introduction.

    They ask before they search.

A prospect can ask “who should we call?” before they ever see your website. The answer names someone, and it may not be you.

Being qualified isn’t the same as being named.

Your credentials, reviews, and case studies only help if an AI answer connects them to the question a buyer is asking.

    Free AI Visibility Snapshot

    • 1 question you write
    • ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity: one answer each
    • Full answer text and every visible source
    • Downloadable PDF

    Evidence / 04

Evidence you can read, not a score you have to trust

    Every CiteMe result shows:

    • the exact buyer question
    • the engine
    • the run date
    • the number of answers sampled
    • the complete AI answer
    • the businesses named
    • the visible source URLs
    • the next actions worth reviewing

A source that appears in an answer is a clue, not proof of why the engine named a business.

    Beyond your website / 05

Your website is only one source

AI answers draw on publications, directories, comparison pages, and community discussions, not just your homepage. The Pro run maps the ones that show up around your category and gives you an outreach playbook and disclosure-aware reply drafts for relevant community threads. It will also tell you when not to respond.

    Real questions. Real answers. Dated.

    At a glance

    Can AI Find Them?

We asked ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity the buyer questions for 29 small businesses, mostly B2B and professional-service firms: one answer per engine.

    • 18 weren’t named by any engine.
    • 11 were named by at least one engine. None was named by all three.

Questions were written by CiteMe from each firm’s own website. One answer per engine is a snapshot, not a ranking. We don’t name firms without their permission.

Built and run by Tyler Schoneman

I’m Tyler Schoneman, founder of CiteMe. I kept seeing AEO work that meant generic AI-written blog posts, while the AI answers I tested pointed somewhere else entirely: directories, publications, comparison pages, and Reddit threads. CiteMe shows you where AI answers are already pointing for your category, so you can earn a place there with real expertise, not filler.

When CiteMe is, and isn’t, the right fit

    Good fit

You sell a high-consideration service, one missed recommendation matters, and you want the evidence plus a handoff your team or agency can act on.

    Not the best fit

If you need daily tracking of hundreds of prompts, a monthly monitoring tool is the better choice. If you only want a quick automated score, free graders exist. Neither is wrong; they answer different questions.

    What we will never claim

    • We don’t guarantee rankings, mentions, or recommendations. No one controls what a model says.
    • One answer is not a ranking. Every result shows the question, engines, date, and sample size.
    • A visible source is a clue, not proof of why an answer was given.
